Little Big Town Pay Tribute to Glen Campbell With 'Wichita Lineman' Performance at the 2017 CMAs

Little Big Town took the stage at the 51st Annual Country Music Association Awards on Wednesday night (Nov. 8) to perform one of the most beloved songs in the history of country music: Glen Campbell's "Wichita Lineman."

The vocal quartet performed a hushed, stripped-down version of the 1960s classic, with their haunting blend of harmonies accompanied by sparse piano and light acoustic guitars. At the end of the performance, the group shouted out legendary songwriter (and "Wichita Lineman" scribe) Jimmy Webb on the piano, as a photo of Campbell appeared on stage.

"Lineman" peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1969, and also topped the Country Songs chart. Campbell died on August 8, 2017, following an extended battle with Alzheimer's disease.
