Some major artists are joining Atlanta’s local politics.

In December, Keisha Lance Bottoms became Atlanta’s second ever female mayor. On Friday (Jan. 12), she announced a 38-member transition team which included some high-profile entertainers: T.I. and Run The Jewels’ Killer Mike.

The two rappers will help in the search and recruitment for members of Bottoms’ cabinet. The duo will also aid in some of the mayor’s major housing, education and public safety initiatives.

While a definite shift in careers, the announcement isn’t too surprising seeing as both T.I. and Killer Mike have been outspoken about their political beliefs over the years. T.I. recently discussed police brutality with CNN and often helps out charities in his community. Killer Mike speaks out about gun violence and hate speech regularly on Twitter, and was an active supporter of Bernie Sanders in the 2016 presidential race.

Other members of the transition team include UPS CEO David Abney and Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastain.
