EVERYONE knows how difficult it can be to apply glitter nail polish.
The shiny stuff needs at least five coats before you get anywhere near the sparkle in the bottle.
But what if we told you that you'd been applying it wrong your entire life?

A beauty blogger called Kelli Marissa has shared a simple and super effective nail tutorial on , and it puts all other nail tutorials to shame.
Most people apply nail glitter varnish like they apply any other nail varnish, with a few swipes of the brush.

Things you've been doing wrong your whole lifeFriday, December 02, 2016
To keep a cake moist for longer, you are suppose to cute the cake straight across the middle – you then push the cake together to stop it from becoming stale [YouTube/Numberphile]
From applying deodorant to washing jeans, we bet you've been doing these everyday tasks wrong for years
After one coat most people will find that the glitter is patchy and needs a few more coats.
Well, Kelli says that this is a waste of time and incorrect, and has the perfect hack to help you achieve perfect nails.
Following a base coat, Kelli explains that she uses a cosmetic sponge to apply her nail polish.
Kelli paints the glitter nail polish straight onto the sponge – rather than her nail – and then dabs the sponge onto her nail.
There is immediately full coverage after she applies just one coat, and the effects really are fabulous.
This is because the sponge actually soaks up the nail polish, leaving only the glitter behind.
Which is kind of genius when you think about it!
Kelli explains that your nails dry really quickly and the finished look is so much nicer than the way everyone regularly does it.
And it's safe to say the new information has gone down a storm with fans.
"Just casually changed my life," commented one dramatic fan, while another added: "How come I've never though of that. Brilliant!"
We know what we'll be doing tonight.
