LOVE Island's Tyla Carr has insisted that she doesn't regret moving on with Mike Thalassitis so quickly after Jonny Mitchell's exit from the villa.
Having promised to wait for Jonny, she later burst in to tears after he sacrificed his spot in the competition for her.
However, viewers and Tyla's fellow Islanders were quick to criticise her when she started to get close to Mike before kissing him after the latest recoupling.
While Jonny expressed his annoyance at her behaviour and jealously of the couple, Tyla told OK! Online that she doesn't regret not sticking to her word and waiting to reunite with Jonny when she left.
"Obviously me and Jonny did move on quite quickly. There were some things I wasn’t happy about which I aired very quickly. Those didn’t change so I had to end that with Jonny.
"When he left, he said he’d wait for me and I said that he’d better, but in the moment obviously emotions are heightened and I was always going to miss him.
"My feelings weren’t just going to disappear even though I had ended things and then Mike came in and I got on with him really well

"He filled in the gaps that I was missing with Jonny and things do move very quickly in there so it’s not something I regret doing."
Tyla, who left the villa with Mike when they were revealed to be the public's least favourite couple on the show, also declared that she didn't have any hard feelings towards Jonny despite him saying that he had lost respect for her.
"I think anyone would be angry having to watch that. He knows himself how quickly things move on in the villa," she sympathised.
"He was with Camilla and then he ended up liking me and moving on with me and things did move quite quickly. He’s entitled to his opinion but I’d already aired the things that were missing with Jonny and things didn’t change so that up to him."
Despite having no bad feelings towards him, Tyla admitted that she doesn't think the pair will catch up once she returns to the UK.
"I have no qualms with Jonny. We got on really well in there and he’s a lovely lovely guy. I’m sure both of us aren’t going to go out of our way to make sure we say hello or meet up or anything but yeah there’s no problems with him at all.
"There was never any animosity at all when we were in there. We left things on a good note."
Love Island continues on ITV2, everyday from 9pm.
