This Morning: Chanelle Hayes vows to lose weight after she makes a shock admission about her health

CHANELLE Hayes vowed to lose weight during a candid interview on This Morning.

The former Big Brother star had previously been on the show to talk about how happy she was with a fuller figure.

However, the mum of one admitted that over the past few months she has gone up to a size 18 and it has started to have an impact on her health.

"I can barely get up with my back," Chanelle confessed as she insisted that her plan to shed the pounds wasn't part of her plan to release a DVD.

Offering an explanation as to why she may have put on weight, the TV star revealed that she had been pleasantly surprised with the positive reaction she was given when she initially appeared on the show.

"I think I went the other way when people said I looked good and if I don’t go to the gym, I eat horrendously," she admitted.

During the discussion with Phillip Schofield and Davina McCall, who has stepped in to replace Holly Willoughby whilst she is on holiday, Chanelle admitted that along with her back pain, she has also been having leg pain, is on the brink of being diagnosed with diabetes and her menstrual cycle isn't in sync.

The star even recalled how her doctor told her she needed to shed the pounds before her back pain would get better.

Having made the vow, Chanelle revealed how she would slim down.

"I’ve done al these extreme things and it’s just not my thing.

"I’m horrible and evil when I’ve done it before, so I’ve got to be more responsible."

This Morning continues on ITV, weekdays at 10.30am.
