The final of the Channel 4 baking show came to a thrilling end on Tuesday night.
After a gruelling three rounds of intricate bakes, former army officer Sophie Faldo was crowned champion of The Great British Bake Off.
Despite the fact judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith deemed Sophie worthy of the coveted cake stand, viewers didn’t seem to agree.
However, fans didn’t think that runners up Kate Lyon and Steven Carter-Bailey should have won either.
Instead, viewers are adamant that eliminated contestant Liam Charles should have won.
The North London student was a huge favourite with fans, but was eliminated in episode eight aka Forgotten Bakes week.

But clearly, Liam was never forgotten as fans took to Twitter in their droves to complain that he was the true winner.
“Think they said the wrong person as the winner. How could they mix the name Sophie with Liam? #GBBO,” commented one person.
While another tweeted: “People need to calm down, Prue didn’t tweet ‘bravo Liam’ so obviously got the winner wrong #gbbo #justiceforliam.”
A third shared: “Sophie may have won (congratulations), but we all know the true victor...#liam #GBBO2017 #gbbo.”
“Well done Sophie #GBBO although I think Liam should’ve won,” came the response from a fourth.
With another adding: “Still feel ripped off that Liam didn’t have a surprise win at the end #GBBO.”
Sophie’s win came after fans threatened to boycott the final after Prue Leith mistakenly revealed the winner.
The judge accidentally sent a congratulatory tweet to Sophie hours before the big result, later blaming the difference in time zones for her mistake.
