The North American box office is enjoying another record year.
After crossing the $11 billion threshold on Monday, revenue for 2016 made history on Wednesday when eclipsing the record $11.14 billion set in 2015.
For the full year, 2016 revenue is expected to clock in at $11.3 billion through Dec. 31, according to projections from industry leader comScore.
ComScore estimates that revenue will reach $11.17 billion-$11.18 billion on Wednesday.
Hollywood is no doubt relieved that it can boast another record, even if 2016 was a wild ride as the gap between the have and the have nots widened.
