LOVE Island stars Montana Brown and Jessica Shears share a secret link.
Having settled into the villa on their first day, Montana explained how she knew Jessica when she told her fellow co-stars that she and Jess used to date the same man.
However, the circumstances were even stranger when she went on to admit that she and Jess were seeing the unknown male at the same time.
“I went out with this guy. Basically I think he was seeing us at the same time," she said.
Revealing that she wasn't sure whether Jess knew who she was, Montana continued: "But I don’t know if she knows. I don’t think she does know it’s me, that’s the thing. I was pretty chilled about the situation, it didn’t work.
"I Instagrammed her. When I saw her I was like ‘I recognise her from somewhere, and then it clicked'."
Despite sharing the news with her co-stars, Love Island star Montana later admitted that she wasn't sure whether she should confront Jess about their link.

Speaking to the cameras in the beach hut, she said: "I’m not sure if now’s the best time for me to speak to her about it.
"I don’t really want to bring up that me and her saw the same guy around the same time.”
However, it appears Montana didn't need to worry as Jess had also recognised Montana.
“As soon as I saw Montana I recognised her and I was like ‘oh my God, as if.’ Of all the people in the world, me and her are in here together.”
But if anyone was expecting to see a fight between the pair as soon as they met, they were left disappointed because the pair simply talked through their similar experience.
"I was just realising he was being really shady with pictures and I was thinking ‘that’s weird.’ I called him out on it'," Montana recalled before adding: "It was on the last night and I was like ‘I don’t know about you but we just didn’t really get along.. And then he just goes ‘yeah, well I have been seeing some girl anyway’ and I was like ‘what?”, when Jess suggested that they "must have both kicked off at the same time.”
While Montana felt enlightened after their chat, the same couldn't be said for Jess who admitted in the beach hut that she didn't "owe" her fellow Islander any loyalties.
"It’s good talking to her about it because it’s nice to see her point of view but at the same time it’s a bit of a revelation because I didn’t realise they were properly dating," she stated.
"Part of me is like ‘I got there first with this guy that me and Montana were both sort of texting at the same time.’ I know I was there first. So part of me does think ‘I was there first and you sort of got in the way’ so I don’t know how vindictive I’m feeling yet.
"I feel like I owe her no loyalties.”
Love Island continues everyday on ITV2 at 9pm.
