A high school basketball game in Ohio turned ugly when the adults in the stands failed to lead by example.

Following the conclusion of the Wooster Generals-Lexington Minutemen basketball game, a large fight broke out in the stands and it was ignited by the parents.

“The kids are OK — it's the adults and this is not just our league or our conference, this is all over, whether it be in the state of Ohio, in this country,” Cardinal Conference Commissioner Ron Dessecker told Cleveland’s Fox 8. “You see these situations and it's appalling. It's just something that I really do not like to deal with to be honest with you.”

The disturbing video shows punches being thrown and people being shoved in the stands in a fracas ignited by the adults that quickly spread to the young fan bases.

It’s unclear what started the incident, but it’s likely emotions boiled over when Lexington was handed it’s first loss of the season by Wooster, 63-41.Send a Letter to the Editor
