A couple who was found dead in an SUV along a Florida highway over the weekend are suspected to have died of an overdose, police said.
Daniel Kelsey, 32, and Heather Kelsey, 30, were stopped along Interstate 4 at about 1:30 am Saturday when a state trooper got sight of the still vehicle with hazard lights blinking, The Daytona Beach News-Journal reported.
The couple was found unresponsive with their three children Aiden Kelsey, 2; Nicholas Kelsey, 1; and infant Joseph Kelsey, alive and unharmed in the backseat, Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes said.
Heather Kelsey was pronounced dead at 2:20 am, while her husband passed just minutes after.
The parents of three both allegedly suffered from a long history of drug addiction.

Family and friends of Daniel and Kelsey expressed their heartfelt messages on the mother’s Facebook page.
Sister-in-law Meghan Costello wrote, "This year was hard for all of us, but the love you showed for Mike, Heather, your mom and those boys never faded.”
A cousin to the family also shared, "Not the news I wanted right now. Another family member gone. Rest easy cousin. Watch over all of us."Send a Letter to the Editor
